Video is growing and growing – mobile app use is mutiplying and social apps such as Instagram and Vine are leading the way – Are You on Board?
These platforms can offer an inexpensive route to reaching your target customer. The following stats via Danny Brown (Influence Marketing) indicate why Video is definitly worth your attention:
- In the US alone 40 billion videos are streamed everymonth;
- a quarter of the population – 75 million people watch video in the U.S. every month ;
- 87% of marketers use some type of video for content marketing campaigns;
- $6.3 billion will be spent on video marketing in 2015.
Not so sure about Vine…? Well here is a post via Hubspot –Good Vine? – about the best uses of vine to date.
I have to say- it doesn’t always make the best impact; some products are easier to promote with Vine than others. We definitely need to think about the way we are marketing our products while using Vine – see if you agree with me: My top picks are – Malibu Rum, Bacardi, and Toyota – and…..No – it is not even TGIF !
Vine and Twitter …… this is interesting as there is a new video start up ready to go (which just happens to be owned by the CEO of Twitter) and it will change the way people post videos – 6 seconds or less at that !!
